No. 64: EmEffing PreReg.

So I left my Art History class a half hour early to pre-reg for Writing Sems. We go after Seniors and Juniors, us Sophomores. By the time I got there (three minutes after reg. opened for sophs), there was a line out the door about six deep. Joe laughed at me going in.

I find out after I've been standing there for about 10 minutes that the Intermediate Fiction classes that aren't the reading courses are full. Which is not good. So then I keep standing there, hoping that something miraculous will happen or that I'll be able to squeeze in (as if Nancy Ryan would let that happen!), and I realize the line stopped moving, Nancy Ryan is on the phone, and the girls in front of me have been bitching about how they are NOT going to take poetry. They'd rather die.
Okay, so I don't LOVE poetry, and I'm not very good at it, but as the curly headed smart ass pointed out: this is why I should take it. So if I can't get into Intermediate Fiction when I go back today, I'll try Intro Poetry. It's a writing course, you know? Plus, I could learn something. Plus, the reading list looks amazing.

In other news: Will K Chang is a wonderful poet. Truly.
And also: Lane Harder is teaching a comparative music course with Radiohead and Tool for intersession. I SERIOUSLY recommend taking it because: A) Lane is awesome, I had him as my TA for Intro. Pop music, and B) Radiohead and Tool are amazing. Okay cool.

I love this weather.
Thanks, God.
