No. 144: SONGS

Okay-- So I'm three days late. What else is new.
This is a carefully selected list.
You either get the theme or you don't get the theme. But there is one.

1. Waiting for my Ruca// Sublime: My third favorite Sublime song (after "Santeria" and "Badfish"). Namesake.
   
2. Fire It Up// Modest Mouse: One of my favorite Modest Mouse songs. One of my favorite songs ever, in actuality. "Like trying to had the daylight from the sun". Nice.
   
3. Redemption Song// Bob Marley: Listened to this all the way through for the first time a week ago. GORGEOUS. sad.
   
4. Rainy Day Women #12 & 35: You do the math.
   
5. Grass // Animal Collective: Seriously-- it's gorgeous. They're creative and the new album is great.
   
6. Boy With a Coin // Iron & Wine: Carlos loves this song, and made me listen to it the other day and now I'm sold. It's quite lovely and the guitar work in the beginning is great.
   
7. Staring at the Sun // TV on the Radio: This is Face's favorite song by them, probably. I prefer "Wolf Like Me", but it doesn't really fit today's theme. Not a huge problem, since I listened to this a couple times last weekend and it truly is amazing.
   

These are awesome songs and speak for themselves, so I'm not describing them any more than that. Also I'm in class and should be paying more attention than that requires. Just listen, relax, and enjoy!
