No. 176: Slacker

Okay... I'm a little late with this week's seven. But it's been a weird week. Actually stayed pretty busy at work, and house sitting for Jenny. I think I'm allergic to Lester, which is really sad because he's adorable. I'd rather be able to enjoy that without red, itchy eyes and continual sneezing. Ah well. Home tomorrow to see Fred and my darling mum, who I've missed slightly more than usual. I started tearing up twice this week while watching Gilmore Girls... it was really lame.

So anyway-- here's the playlist.
Also: House is awesome. Seriously. Watching the first season, finally, and it's good to know that it was good to start and it was good in the third season, and hopefully it'll be good when I finally catch up. Can't wait for the new season of the Office. Going to have to make friends with someone who has more than two channels, so I can watch it.

Finished Shogun, finally. Did NOT see some of the end twists coming. It was pretty rad. Toranaga is... well... you should read it is all I'm saying.

Finally: I want to work for Vanity Fair SO much! The article on Hilary in August's issue is amazing. Probably even more so after watching Primary Colors this morning. I forgot how much I liked that movie.

So, in conclusion: this weekend should be nice, listen to "Terrible Angels" by CoCo Rosie and uhm... always tip your waitress.

  1. Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis: From going to PJ's and chilling with Mike, Sterling, Dave, Dom and Alyson. Listened to that whole album the next morning. I actually really do like Oasis.
  2. By Your Side by CoCo Rosie: Seriously, though? They're probably my favorite new interest. Been around forever, I know, but a woman at work whose computer I was using had the CoCo Rosie station saved on her Pandora. I was hooked at the first raspy-sweet croon.
  3. Long Distance Call by Phoenix: Another XM find. I think I found them on the Stars radio station. But so amazing. Love this song.
  4. Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder: My birthday was last week...
  5. Boss of Me by They Might Be Giants: Malcolm in the Middle theme song. Best. Show. Ever.
  6. Stay With Me by Rod Stewart: I just heard it A LOT last week. On the radio, movies, people humming it, etc. Kind o f annoying, actually.
  7. Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler: It was playing in the grocery store. I had to dramatize! And then Bandits was on yesterday. Weee.
Cheers.
H.
