Musicala blues....

So... Smoosh. Why can't I be a preteen rockster chick? Hmm? The only thing I can come up with is that Jason McGerr did not discover me in a music store one day. Ugh. Ah well. I can love their little ways from afar, I suppose.

Today was meant to be a day of just reading, but it turns out it's not going to be that way. I pawned a cd player and like 6 DVDs for $18 dollars today. They wouldn't take the bass without strings. I'm going to axe Dougie Gibson. In any case. I now have $20. 59 to my name. I am roughing it a bit for the next week in a half or so. Trying not to drive anywhere or do ANYTHING that costs money. Bought a case of 6 Chicken-flavored Ramen and a 6-pack of grapefruit soda for $2.51 and felt like a master. That, I've decided is how I'm going to live for the rest of the summer. Save EVERYTHING I don't need for gas/food/drink, for NYC and Ipod. But we'll see how that works out, b/c Lucky's having a sale soon (I'll let you know, and you must all come in and buy things).

In other news: I listened to a while bunch of Animal Collective today and felt all wonderful and strange. "Grass" is an amazing song (hence its feature presentation in my myspace... LAME!). But pretty much everything is good. Also: many good shows are coming up. Wolf Parade, BRMC, Shiny Toy Guns, Fiery Furnaces. MMM. Plus both Ryan Adams and Rufus Wainwright have new albums coming out either now or soon. I'm so excited.

Been reading a lot of Psalms. It's reassuring to know that King David, a man after God's own heart, was as screwed up as I am, if not more so. I haven't killed anyone... yet. But you know-- I'm praying through it. Feeling all convicted, especially about the money thing b/c OH BOY did I blow it this month with my funding. Yikes. Haha.

So there's all that. Now I'm going to decide the rest of my evening.
Tirrah.
