Today went quickly, despite working an 8 hour day. I'm hoping that Demi and the closing crew get through much of the new shipment because I do not want my 3 1/2 hours of closing work tomorrow to be unpacking boxes and moving stuff around. Sara and I talked all morning, had donuts and danced like morons around the store. It was very Empire Records of us, sans any sort of amazing music selection (although occasionally we got a Zeppelin song).
Matt and I had dinner after I got off of work. Five Guys. He bought. He needs to stop buying me dinner. And looking and behaving so wonderfully. It's disquieting. I don't know what to think about anything. As a result, my emotional state has had times of greater stability. Boo hoo, yeah?
Going back to the gym tomorrow!!! Triumph. Fred and I will go, and I will fight whatever enormous and muscular trainerman I need to in order to get my 2 1/2 miles on the treadmill and a good exercise ball. Membership be damned! I then plan to have a shower, a lenghty self-beautification, and a massive and quasi-healthy breakfast with my parentals. Possible chilling with K-dog (my homegirl is finally home). Then work. Then a girliefest with Kathryn, overnight proportions. Iglesia en domingo. Coffee/lunch with Johnny Res, the newly graduated. I'm settled into home. Although I desperately miss 705s and Emma-Lee. Meh.
Getting through White Noise and liking it highly. Haven't read much more of Girl Meets God, but I'm not as capable and reading multiple books as I used to be. Sigh. I swear, college makes you dumber (...spelled that wrong the first time).
Had a highly amusing/engaging series of texts with Thomasanthony tonight while grocery shopping. It was enjoyable, b/c I haven't talked to him hardly at all in so long. He's not as bad a guy as I talked myself into believing last year. Why was I such an emokidd!?
Things change quickly, Matt and I agreed. It's strange. Not all bad. Just strange.
Love.
H.
PS: Patty Griffin "Rain". Trust me. And also: Deerhoof + Beirut (Zach Condon's sound is sort of akin to Andrew Bird, but you know-- different and maybe not as good).
