No. 43: Blues in Dallas (or Baltimore)

Playlist of the past week has consisted mostly of the following:

+ The Mountain Goats
+ Joanna Newsom
+ Andrew Bird
+ Neutral Milk Hotel
+ Girl Talk (thank you, Mike)
+ Art Brut
+ Devendra Banhart
+ Devotchka

I have also caught up on Weeds, watched Legends of the Fall for the 10th time (thank you Comcast guys for fixing our box), and started three short stories, none of which show any promise.

Classes are going to be interesting. I foresee arguements in my History of Africa section, which causes some anxiety, but oh well. Tomorrow is my first Intro. to Fiction class. (I think) I'm very glad of this. Plus Mary's probably in it, and I like her.

It's almost been a month since Matthew and I began our "Speechless Month" agreementy thing. I don't know what to do about the desire to call him. It never goes like I want it to, and I'm pretty sure Brian would just yell at me afterwards. Plus I'm not sure about the grandness of that idea, due to my plans for Thursday night. I don't know whether or not to be apprehensive or excited. Meh.

Developed a horrendous cough. I know what you're thinking and no, it's not from smoking, which I don't do any more. Pretty sure it's mucus induced, which is gross. I've vastly over medicated with sprays and syrups. I haven't tried Mucinex yet, though it's supposed to be the shizz. If it persists tomorrow, I'm going to go get some. We need fruit anyway.

Having a coffee date with Heather and Rosa on Friday. I'm very excited, and glad that I know them. Had a great talk with BrOrr on Sunday as well. They're good people, those people are.

Oh! I've discovered that the thermos Matt got me last year for coffee is magical. I made a pot of coffee at 9:30 this morning and when I came home at 5:30 and decided to drink it, it was not only still hot, it was still steaming as well as fresh. The rest of 705 will testify. Bliss.

Any time the humidity wants to break would be great.

H.
