i've been listening to a lot of Modest Mouse. Carlos and I were talking about how initially when we heard about them we were ambivalent and even didn't really like them. a few weeks ago i heard, "float on" on the radio again and realized how great a song it is. so then i dug into the two albums i had. carlos got me on to We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. It's probably my favorite album right now.
i've been having these daily anthems. yesterday's was another Modest Mouse song I love ("The Good Times are Killing Me"). Today's is "Missed the Boat". It's such an amazing song. I youtubed the video, and found several. These two are my favorite. I think the first one is the official, and then the second was part of a contest. In any case-- here:
